They are currently seeking for an IT Specialist to join their growing team. This will be an expansion role, working alongside 2 other IT individuals. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and provides an opportunity to work with a vibrant and team-oriented group of people.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates closely with other IT Specialists to support the IT Services Manager in providing the best technical support to all team members.
- Assists in the planning, implementation, maintenance, and documentation of reliable, efficient, and integrated computer information networks.
- Supports team member training on the use of the computer network, cloud environment, and various applications.
- Coordinates with the IT support provider to ensure team members receive assistance with their IT-related needs.
- Works alongside the IT Services Manager to execute IT projects.
- Ensures that technical policies are regularly updated in alignment with the IT Services Manager's direction.
- Manages the inventory of all computer equipment, both in the office and used off-site.
- Oversees smartphone management for the firm, including inventory, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Administers the IP Phone system (currently Shaw), including setup for new users, programming changes, and equipment orders.
- Handles onboarding and offboarding IT tasks (including training) for team members.
- Builds strong relationships with various stakeholders within the firm.
- Communicates consistently and effectively with all team members to address support requests.
- Provides excellent customer service by offering innovative solutions and continuously improving service delivery in a cost-effective manner.
- Quickly identifies and responds to urgent requests.
- Continuously learns, develops, and maintains skill sets and competencies.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience in a law firm or legal environment is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft technologies, including Office 365, Exchange, Azure, Windows servers, and desktop environments
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure technologies
- Experience with document management systems
- Technically adept with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to various computer programs.
- Good communication skills, professional, has good time management and takes accountability.
