Our flagship conversations events see attendees show up in pairs and engage in conversation activities.
We've launched in Toronto (Canada), Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and London (UK) and Melbourne (Australia).
We're now looking for someone to run in-person conversations events in Vancouver, Canada.
This is an ad hoc, part-time role. You are paid based on ticket sales to events you host.
Ahead of the first event, you help find a venue. We manage the admin, send you a script with instructions and prompt cards to give out to attendees - up to 10 pairs of people. You turn up on the night and host the event, guide people through the activities, and receive the ticket money paid out to you, minus expenses. It will then become easy to repeat again at another time.
Responsibilities
- Find and coordinate booking a venue for 20 people (pub or cafe)
- Help spread the word in the lead up to the event
- Turn up on the night and facilitate using our script as a guide
- Repeat again a month or two later (up to you how often you do the event)
Qualifications
- Hosting experience, which can be full on events, but also can include gatherings with friends
- Great interpersonal skills to make attendees feel welcome
- An interest in people having meaningful conversations is desirable
