Role Overview: The Social Media and Content Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing social media and content marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and engagement. This role blends Event Planning, creative content creation, cold calling, and collaboration to ensure our digital marketing efforts are effective and aligned with our business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy and Management:
- Develop and implement social media strategies to boost brand visibility and engagement across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter).
- Create and curate engaging content tailored to each platform, including posts, stories, and ads.
- Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with our online community, including followers, influencers, and brand advocates for collaboration.
- Identify opportunities for user-generated content and community-driven campaigns.
- Cold Calling and Outreach:
- Conduct cold calls to potential partners, or influencers to promote brand initiatives and gather feedback.
- Develop and maintain lists of contacts for outreach, and track the outcomes of calls and communications.
- Campaign Management:
- Assist in the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including social media promotions.
- Track campaign performance and provide insights to refine and improve future initiatives.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with marketing, design, and sales teams to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with overall marketing goals.
- Prepare regular reports on social media and content performance, including key metrics and actionable insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. (preferred not required).
- Proven experience in social media management and content marketing and event planning.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform decision-making.
- Experience with cold calling and outreach is a plus.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
