Job Title: Inventory and Material Planner
Location: ON, Etobicoke, 195 Belfield Road
Pay Range: $30/hr.
6 Month Contract
What’s the Job?
As the Inventory and Material Planner for our factory, you will be responsible for ensuring that materials are readily available for production and inventory control at both our third party and factory warehouses.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
- Manage high usage raw materials delivery to the plant based on production schedule and factory performance
- Create and manage transfers between the third-party warehouse and factory for materials.
- Set up new materials in SAP, place orders for materials, schedule delivery of necessary volumes as per production forecast. Communicate with vendors to ensure material delivery on a timely basis
- Close orders on a weekly basis, update shop orders and share with supervisors & operators on the floor
- Reconciliation of materials, ensuring the system is cleaned on a weekly basis
- Bi-Monthly cycle counts on all materials for onsite and third-party warehouse (weekend)
- Support the planning team in managing transitions
- Support warehouse and planning improvement projects
- Support planning team as required
What’s Needed?
- Completed or completing a degree in an undergraduate or diploma program, preferably in Supply Chain Management or Engineering
- 4-5 yrs of Experience in similar role.
- Able to contribute to a team-oriented environment and possess strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, especially under high pressure environments
- Proficiency with Excel
- Experience with SAP is an asset
