Description
We are currently offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Analyst Intermediaire. This role is based in Toronto, Ontario, and operates in a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of in-person and remote work. The individual will be working in a non-IT industry, focusing on business analysis to improve the overall efficiency of the business processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead research and analysis projects to contribute to the overall efficiency of the business.
- Collaborate closely and maintain partnerships with internal and external contributors as part of shared projects.
- Identify improvement opportunities, both proactive and reactive.
- Elicit and clearly document business and functional requirements, including acceptance criteria for client experience management.
- Assist teams or individuals in the development of new initiatives and business processes, including information gathering, model development, analysis, redesign, implementation, and monitoring.
- Coordinate requirements walk-through and sign-offs, verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray specific business needs.
- Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during the QA process.
- Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries, and updates.
- Develop and/or contribute to project plans and specifications, monitor milestone completion, provide timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinate actions, and resolve conflicts.
- Ensure all materials and processes developed are in compliance with internal practices and external regulations.
- Demonstrate expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.
- Be prepared for some travel requirements related to the role.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in Reporting, Microsoft Excel, Operations, Planning, Compliance, Research, and Materials Handling
- Proven experience in Planning Processes, Microsoft Word, Project Management, and Phone Presence
- Proficient in English Language
- Previous experience in Implementation, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Travel will be highly regarded
- Understanding of Practices, Communication Skills, Stakeholders, Monitoring Tool, Best Practices, and Maintain Logs
- Familiarity with Agile, Specification, Business Analysis, and Financial Services is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
