At GPS Tracking Canada, we help companies with vehicles save money on fuel costs, labour costs and increase customer service, by providing vehicle tracking solutions that report live and historical vehicle locations as well as many more features that measure vehicle use and employee productivity.
Description of role:
· Bookkeeper with previous experience
o We are looking to hire a Bookkeeper with previous experience. While this is not an entry level position, there are some administrative tasks are not suitable for a seasoned Bookkeeper. We are looking for someone who has previously worked as a bookkeeper so that they can come up to speed quickly.
- You have a basic understanding of the ins and outs of how an accounting system works: Invoicing, payables, receivables, reconciliation, reports etc.
- We are currently using Xero, cloud based accounting system. Experience with Xero is not required. It is surprisingly easy to learn.
- Administrative:
- You will be involved in the day to day tasks of running the business, such as:
- creating orders, assembling orders (very small packages), shipping orders, placing orders and interacting with suppliers, setting up services for new clients and following up with clients
- General Requirements:
· This is a permanent position, therefore only candidates need apply who are serious about a long term commitment.
· You need to travel to our office located at Midland / Sheppard, so a local candidate is a must. This is not a work from home position.
· You are ** detail oriented ** - very, very important
· You understand the importance of checking your work, so that you don’t make errors
· You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including proper spelling and grammar
· You feel comfortable speaking on phone, whether it be for collections from delinquent accounts, or engaging the client in a conversation about what they like or dislike about our service. This is very important criteria. Therefore you must have excellent customer communication and customer service skills
· You have above average general technical skills using computers, the internet and Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheets
· You have excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
· You are independent, highly motivated and take initiative on following up on outstanding issues, ie. Receivables.
· You must be able to cite instances where you worked independently, used good judgement to solve problems and took initiative beyond what was asked or expected

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
