Our Non-Profit client is seeking an individual to aid their Development and Communications team. This role provides superb administrative and customer service to the organization's donors. Accuracy and speed are required, coupled with an ability to meet targets. This is a critical role over the busy holiday season which contributes to the team's fundraising efforts. Due to the nature of this role, it will be performed fully on-site, Monday - Friday. This position is slated to be a three (3) month contract with a strong possibility of extension.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Donations Processing team with major gift donations, monthly donations, and direct mail donations.
- Manages incoming mail and donations, ensuring gifts are entered and coded in the system.
- Could you create and distribute donation receipts promptly?
- Open, batch, scan, enter, and create receipts within 24 hours for all direct mail.
- Ensure all data and donor information is properly categorized in the system (Raiser's Edge).
- Research any "returned to sender" receipts and update their files accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1+ years in a relevant fundraising role.
- Proficiency with Raiser's Edge is considered an asset.
- Intermediate computer literacy in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Professional and courteous phone manner.
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of data entry efficiently and accurately.
- The successful candidate must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check before commencing employment.
Education
- High school diploma or higher.
