Job Details
Position Title: Gourmet Express Cashier, RPT
Status: Regular part-time permanent
Hours: up to 24 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Longo Faculty of Business
Campus/Location: North Campus
Pay Range: $16.96
What You Will Do
The Gourmet Express Cahier assists with the general operation of Gourmet Express retail store at Humber Polytechnic. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Responsible operation of point of sale system. This is a cashless system. Must accurately charge guest for each transaction, credit, debit, gift card or student meal plan.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills daily while interacting with Humber community in-person and via phone.
- Demonstrating exceptional food handling skills while packaging student produced food items for sale in Gourmet Express.
- Regular cleaning, restocking and organizing.
Qualifications
What you bring to the role:
Education
Minimum one-year diploma or certificate in a Hospitality Program or equivalent.
Experience & Skills
One-year practical work experience in food retail, customer service and cashier experience.
- Strong communication skills required
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of health and safety and food safety regulations.
- Must be organized and able to work in fast-paced environment.
