We are representatives for manufacturers that produce high quality building materials in commercial, industrial, and residential markets. Our focus is to provide high performance, energy efficient, and cost-effective building product solutions to industry professionals. While partnering with an extensive network of distributors, building supply chains, and OEMs, we work closely with manufacturers to support and achieve market objectives. BPS Group collaborates with architects, consultants, engineers, specification writers, and contractors along with various industry professionals to generate demand for product lines coupled with proficient technical support.
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth through effective communication and relationship building with potential clients.
Job Description:
As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining key business relationships with architects, consultants, specification writers, engineers, property managers, and contractors through product promotion, product presentation, and specification development initiatives. To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate excellent communication abilities, be highly motivated, and be able to work independently to meet your market objectives.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Post-Secondary education from college/university or technical institute.
- Preferred 3+ years of experience in outside sales and/or in a business development role. • Technical sales experience with building materials is an asset.
- Highly motivated, result driven, and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. • Excellent communication, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Positive, outgoing, and customer focused attitude.
- Must have valid driver’s licence.
Job Functions:
- Call on the architect, specification writer, engineer, contractor, and building owner community in assigned markets to present, promote, and generate demand for portfolio of building products.
- Qualify prospects, generate leads, and organize product presentations through Zoom/MS Teams calls, “Lunch and Learn” sessions, and in-person sales calls (once possible to do so). • Expand and manage client base with a focus on developing strong, resourceful, and trusted industry relationships.
- Go “above and beyond” while offering the best suited product solutions for the client/project. • Develop strategies, plans, and schedule for effective and efficient market coverage. • Coordinate product promotion efforts and strategies with BPS Group team. • Work remotely from home office (flexible schedule).
- Some local and overnight travel will be required once it is possible and safe to do so.
