Job Description
The CAMH Education Services program is currently seeking a full-time, permanent CH&E Specialist (E-Learning Designer) to support the development and delivery of learning products and experiences for health professionals. This includes instructor-led and/or e-learning courses/tutorials, webinars, user guides, web-based resources, quick reference guides, job aids and other learning and support materials, as needed, with an emphasis on embedding evidence-informed Education best practices. The CH&E Specialist revise existing training curricula based on ongoing needs assessments and evaluation data. The incumbent will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable and regulatory requirements. This position is located at the Queen Street Site.
Job Requirements
This position requires three (3) years of experience with the development and delivery of continuing professional education programming; a Master’s degree in adult education, educational technologies, health science, health promotion, social or behavioural sciences is required; experience managing projects, group facilitation and consultation. Previous experience in healthcare and/or academic setting is preferred. Knowledge and expertise in several of the following areas, with an emphasis on e-learning and e-learning technology is also required: inter-professional collaboration and simulation, adult education, instructional design, the educational needs of health professionals and other professional staff in addiction and mental health, delivery and evaluation of educational programming. Substantial experience working with Articulate Storyline, whiteboard animation and multi-media tools including video capture and editing tools such as Camtasia is required. The Education Specialist will collaborate with other team members, subject matter experts, patients and families, vendors and other internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple aspects of work simultaneously, and work independently, as well as with a diverse team. Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral/written), facilitation skills, creative problem-solving abilities and organizational skills are required. Advanced proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Connect is required. It is an asset to be a member of a regulated health profession. Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset.
