Position: Sales Representative
Location: Based in Richmond, BC; traveling up to 80% in BC and Prairies
Position Close Date: When filled
Compensation: $60,000 to $80,000 CAD
Specific Sales & Service Responsibilities Will Include
- Providing industry-leading sales service and support to Retail, Professional Service/Resort Uniform and B2B customers.
- Traveling within the territory to build long-term relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Proactively developing and executing a documented seasonal “go to market” plan and schedule for the territory, outlining full territory potential, short and mid-term prospect list, and new opportunities/ideas.
- Planning/forecasting customer specific assortments which take into account historical sell-in/sell thru results and Helly Hansen programs, initiatives and distribution goals.
- Providing presentations formats which are the most productive for each customer.
- Communicating with all internal departments including Marketing, Customer Operations, Credit and Logistics and liaising with customers as required.
- Providing merchandise and product knowledge support to customers and their staff.
- Attending all internal sales and marketing related meetings.
- Proactively managing samples and sales tools.
- Submitting orders on or before deadlines and exceeding seasonal booking, repeat and close-out sales targets.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Sales rep and/or retail sales experience with specialty ski, outdoor, sailing, and/or work wear accounts, preferably selling outdoor apparel, footwear and accessories.
- Passion for the Helly Hansen brand as well as the activities, products, and lifestyle that Helly Hansen represents.
- University degree.
- Willingness to go the extra mile to help customers get things done.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A high level of integrity, credibility and honesty.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong capability working with financials and numbers.
- Compelling presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook and Elastic Suite b2b Ecommerce Platform.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
