The Digital Marketing Specialist will champion the strategy and execution of Swiss Chalet’s Social Media, Paid Digital Advertising, CRM, and Web Analytics. Working with internal and external creative and media agencies, this role will lead digital content calendar planning, campaigns, and strategies to grow brand awareness, equity, and sales across all of our digital consumer touchpoints. This individual will be a critical part of the Swiss Chalet Marketing Team, and report to the Sr. Brand Manager, Marketing.
What you will do in this role:
- Grow Digital followership and engagement, including growing Social Media accounts, Email and Push Notification Database, and Mobile App user base, through acquisition strategies both on and offline.
- Lead Digital content planning, calendar planning, media planning, and budgeting to deliver on Brand objectives and targets
- Lead the planning and development of paid social media and digital ad campaigns, executing with internal and external creative and media partners
- Execute required campaigns and assets to fuel this content (leading photo and video shoots as required, identifying user generated content opportunities, etc.)
- Lead Community Management, actively posting content, re-post and respond to fan content, and monitor engagement, promoting posts or managing escalations from the customer service team as required based on performance
- Build “Swiss Chalet Superfans” influencer program, establish relationships with key influencers, and assist with the coordination of PR campaigns with online media opportunities.
- Responsible for CRM Email and Push Notification database and weekly communications, including achieving growth targets, defining consumer segments, and building increased engagement and order frequency to further Brand objectives
- Support the Sr. Brand Manager with offer creation and management required to power Brand programming, working with IT team to execute special vouchers, coupons, or gift card programs as required
- Support the Sr. Brand Manager with executing our National Direct Mail calendar, content, and distribution to millions of Canadians
- Identify and monitor effective benchmarks for measurement of social media and digital ad efforts. Analyze, review and report of effectiveness of organic and paid campaigns to maximize results and make recommendations for future campaigns.
What we are looking for from you:
- A minimum 2 years of experience in social media or digital marketing
- University or college degree in business, marketing, communications or equivalent preferred
- A creative thinker who finds inspiration, takes initiative, and doesn’t need to be told
- Passion for people, hospitality, and exceptional branded experiences
- A team player, ready to take initiative and help teammates as required
- Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects on the go, and the day-to-day
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and multitask
- Ability to think and operate both strategically and tactically
- Curiosity and a drive to uncover the “why” and “so what?”
- Bonus points for experience with Sprout Social or Yext
- Bonus points for Adobe CS or Canva skills
