Stigan Media is a reputable digital marketing agency based in Vancouver, BC. Our SEO team is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated Junior SEO Specialist to join us. If you’re passionate about data, optimizing websites, and driving results for clients across various industries, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive website audits using SEMrush and gather insights through Screaming Frog.
- Familiarity with WordPress, including basic content editing and SEO plugins (e.g., Yoast, Rank Math).
- Add alt attributes to images for accessibility and SEO purposes.
- Understanding of best practices for creating meta titles and meta descriptions in SEO.
- Implement internal linking strategies to improve website navigation and SEO.
- Basic knowledge of Google Analytics and/or Google Search Console to monitor and report on website performance.
- Perform GMB (Google My Business) optimization and regular updates.
- Research and identify new keyword opportunities for current client categories.
- Find and fix broken links on client websites.
- Collect and organize contacts for link-building campaigns.
- Submit businesses to directories and listings for local SEO benefits.
- Create template-based pages aligned with website architecture and SEO best practices.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of Local SEO principles, tools, and best practices.
- Familiarity with SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and other SEO tools.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and website architecture.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- A team player with the ability to work independently when required.
Bonus Points (not required but nice to have):
- Experience in technical SEO, including schema markup or page speed optimization.
- Familiarity with creating content briefs for writers.
- Hands-on experience with local SEO strategies, including citation management.
- Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with the latest trends in SEO and digital marketing

- A technical task test to evaluate your SEO knowledge
