Our client, a leading Canadian mechanical contractor specializing in heavy industrial projects, is seeking a Project Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. This full-time role is based in Port Coquitlam, BC, with travel to project sites as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, coordinate, and maintain employee documentation within the company’s timekeeping system.
- Enter, verify, and process hours for employees working on assigned projects.
- Ensure compliance with all union collective agreements and timekeeping regulations.
- Support project reporting requirements assigned by the Project Manager/Project Coordinator.
- Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve any issues from employees.
- Provide additional administrative support as needed for the project team.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to problem-solve independently.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, payroll entry, and unionized trade workers is an asset.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the year.
