What You’ll Be Doing
At Simplii Financial, we provide personalized, simple, yet flexible digital experiences for our clients, and accelerate revenue growth for OUR bank. The Reporting & Analytics team works closely with all business areas to provide leadership in design and implementing Simplii Financials Management Information framework. The team designs and provides advanced business analytics, through leadership, stimulating stakeholders and jointly achieving the strategic objectives of Simplii Financial.
The Simplii Analytics team works closely with key partners – including Sales, Product, Marketing, Client Experience, Risk, Finance and Operations – to provide reporting and analysis to assist decision makers and help achieve the strategic objectives of Simplii Financial.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
Important information
- You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education to be eligible. However, you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for this role.
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or a related field.
- You are proficient with the following: Excel and PowerPoint, Tableau or Power BI, SQL, Languages for data manipulation and analysis, such as SAS or Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn).
- You are interested in the business impact of your work and the answer to the "So what?" question.

How You’ll Succeed
- Reporting, research and analysis – Work with and integrate multiple data sources to develop reports, charts, models and analysis to help partners understand the performance and profitability of the business
- Collaboration – Collaborate with other team members to ensure client needs are met on a timely basis by providing quick and accurate reporting for the key business partners as part of the normal reporting cycle and on an ad hoc basis
- Problem solving – Ensure processes are streamlined by eliminating waste. You will accurately identify the most critical challenges and develop effective, applicable solutions to add the highest value to our customers.
