About The Role
We’re looking for an Associate, Finance and Operations to join our growing team!

What You’ll Do Here
This role will help manage all support functions for Intact Ventures from a finance and operations perspective.
Financial Management
- Driving Intact Ventures’ quarterly valuation process, including developing valuation approaches, working with the Investment Team to build consensus, and presenting to Intact Ventures’ valuation committee
- Coordinate quarterly and annual audit activities working with external auditors and internal accounting and tax teams
- Prepare monthly and quarterly updates to be shared with key stakeholders pertaining to investment activity, portfolio performance, and strategy
Fund Operations
- Owning the portfolio monitoring process and portfolio company metrics (e.g., up to date ownership metrics, financial results, etc.)
- Assist with the creation, refinement, and maintenance of fund-level tracking and management tools (e.g., position tracking, reserves analysis, performance metrics)
- Ensure Intact Ventures collects and maintains thorough documentation related to its investments and transactions
- Serve as a point of contact with Intact Financial Corporation key functions including, Tax, Accounting, Finance, Investor Relations, Public Relations, Social Responsibility, etc.
- Help coordinate closing processes for new investments and liquidation events, including managing wires and distributions, working with legal on document review/execution, and ensuring appropriate control adherence
- Assist with Intact Ventures’ external communication strategy including Website / LinkedIn updates, helping plan events, and representing the firm
What You Bring To The Table
Must Haves
- 2-5 years in strategy, accounting, finance, FP&A, corporate development, or operations type role
- The ability to think innovatively to solve problems and improve processes
- Proven track record working with fast-paced and high-performance teams
- Hyper attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact independently with senior executives
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Undergraduate degree mandatory
Nice to Haves
- Experience working in investment fund operations or a finance role at a startup
- Accounting designation
