What will you do? (there is lots more on this…in a nutshell…)
- Candidate will be paired up and peer trained on Processing tasks starting with more simpler items and gradually be trained on more complex processes. As candidate gains confidence in working independently, they will be responsible for the task given to them and ensure that it is either completed in a timely fashion or ensure SLA deadlines are met. All throughout this process, there will be ongoing training and coaching until proficiency is gained.
- A typical day for this role can have the candidate using different applications and tools to verify, validate, and process requests that come through various channels such as emails, forms application, etc. This role is a mix of admin work and processing.
Must-have Skills:
- 2 years of job-related experience or 4 years University or accredited business, finance, customer service or accounting/bookkeeping experience.
- Data Entry Skills: Ability to handle and verify data efficiently across multiple systems (Excel, Access).
- Familiarity with Registered Accounts: Knowledge of RSPs, TFSAs, RIFs, and LIFs, or willingness to learn.
- Administrative Experience: Expertise in managing spreadsheets, validating forms, and processing various requests.
- Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel for data processing, analysis, and reporting.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work accurately with large sets of data and perform data validation.
- Communication Skills: Effective communicator, able to collaborate with internal teams and advisors for issue resolution. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Team-Oriented: Ability to work within a team and participate in training and mentoring during the onboarding phase. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
- On-Site Availability: Willingness to work in-office for training (at least 4 days a week initially), with the possibility of remote work later.
- Ability to work well and maintain composure under pressure.
- Ability to work well with a team or independently.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Business/Financial Background: Basic understanding of financial terms or prior experience in a financial services back-office environment.
- Experience with Excel Macros: Familiarity with Excel macros to streamline and automate data processing tasks. Good knowledge of knowing VBA macros and its’ utilization is nice to have)
- Access Database Experience: Experience working with Access databases for data management and validation.
- Home Office Setup: While not a strict requirement, having an extra screen and a well-equipped home office setup for remote work is ideal.
