Account Executive - Commercial Flooring
Location: Toronto (North York), Ontario
Compensation: $80,000 base + guaranteed commission during training (OTE: $104,000+ in year one) + Car Allowance & Gas Card

Our client is a successful Toronto (North York) based luxury flooring wholesale distributor and retailer, specializing in high-end flooring and wall products that enhance any space. This team is dedicated to delivering beautiful, functional designs and helping a wide range of clients—including designers, contractors, and homeowners—find the perfect products for their projects. They’re seeking apassionate, entrepreneurial, and client-focused Account Executive to join their commercial flooring division and help expand its market presence.
Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for anexperienced B2B sales professional to help drive growth in a technical, high-potential product category. As a Account Executive - Commercial Flooring, you will focus on selling small and large flooring contracts primarily to healthcare organizations (public and private) as well as construction companies, architects, and engineering firms. Your main goal will be building and maintaining strong client relationships with decision-makers & end-users for commercial projects.
This role includes extensive training over the first 6–9 months, where you will develop in-depth product knowledge, understand the market landscape, and shadow experienced sales reps and suppliers. You’ll gain the skills needed to succeed in this specialized market, with opportunities for long-term growth into leadership or senior sales roles.

Key Responsibilities:
- After training, you will mostly be working from home or on the road locally around the GTA, with occasional visits to the North York Office/Showroom, where you will have dedicated space for you.
- Develop new business opportunities by proactively prospecting and mapping accounts to identify decision-makers in healthcare, construction, and design sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architectural and engineering firms, ensuring products are specified for upcoming projects.
- Sell technical, resilient flooring products to healthcare facilities, long-term care organizations, construction companies, and other commercial clients.
- Provide proposals, manage the sales cycle, and secure contracts for both small and large-scale projects.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and client meetings to expand market reach and build relationships.
- Collaborate with suppliers to gain deep product knowledge and deliver value to clients.
- Focusing on selling within the Ontario and Winnipeg areas while also looking to expand across the country (excluding Quebec).
Key qualifications include:
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (required).
- 6+ years of B2B sales experience, including 3+ years in outside sales.
- At least 2 years of experience selling technical, tangible products (construction or renovation-related products preferred).
- Proven success selling to large accounts. Experience selling into healthcare organizations, architects, engineers, and contractors is a strong asset.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to manage your own schedule and drive results independently.
- Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with the ability to connect with stakeholders across various industries.
- Comfortable working on a flexible, self-managed schedule with a focus on outcomes.
- Previous experience in the healthcare industry is considered an asset.
- Construction/development/Renovation-related product sales experience would be a strong asset.
