About The Work Environment
Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.
We are hiring for this position out of our Vancouver office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About The Qualifications
- 1 to 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced use of excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong aptitude for information technology, and digital/automation tools.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills, highly motivated.
- Ability to grasp business concepts in a dynamic, fast paced and multi-entity environment.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Financial Institution experience, an asset.
- Experience with process optimization and automation in banking, an asset.
- Working towards the completion of a qualified accounting designation (CPA) an asset.
About The Day-to-day
- Maintenance, mapping, testing and troubleshooting of current Banking and Finance systems.
- Support the mapping of data flowcharts and automation.
- Work with various Finance divisions to optimize workflows and reduce bottlenecks to enhance productivity.
- Work on projects that streamline financial processes and reducing manual entry.
- Support the development and implementation of Fintech Enablement platforms to improve financial operations and decision making.
- Support the implementation of data-driven solutions to enhance accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and forecasting.
- Analyzing current financial processes, identify inefficiencies, and support the development of streamlined workflows and operational efficiency.
- Support in the creation of business requirement documents, functional specifications, and process flows to ensure clear communication between stakeholders and development teams.
- Facilitate communication across departments and translating technical information into language that business stakeholders can understand.
Compensation
Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. In addition, we are pleased to offer employees both group benefits and the option to participate in our RRSP matching program, beginning the first day of employment. Salary for this position will vary between $80,000 and $90,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possesses. As part of our recruiting process, shortlisted candidates will be asked their salary expectations for this position.
