Roles & Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Data Entry:
- Record and code all financial transactions accurately to the appropriate accounts in QuickBooks Online.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing payments, including invoices, receipts, and bank deposits.
Account Reconciliation:
- Reconcile all bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end close procedures.
Financial Reporting & Documentation:
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Track and report on inventory levels, ensuring proper valuation and reconciliation with financial records.
Tax & Compliance:
- Ensure that financial records are in compliance with applicable regulations, including tax requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of sales tax filings and corporate tax returns.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process and review all vendor invoices on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy and timely payment through Plooto.
- Manage customer invoicing and track outstanding receivables, when applicable.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role.
- Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online is essential.
- Prior experience with bank reconciliations and managing accounts payable (A/P) is required.
- High attention to detail and an ability to meet tight deadlines when requested is essential.
- Experience working in a fast-paced or growing company environment is a plus
