Position Overview
The Marketing Specialist/Coordinator Intern will support the marketing team by contributing to a variety of marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for a proactive, creative, and detail-oriented individual eager to gain hands-on experience in marketing strategy, content creation, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Support & Outreach
- Help plan and execute marketing campaigns to drive awareness and engagement, including email campaigns, social media promotions, and targeted outreach initiatives.
- Assist in identifying and researching potential leads or target audiences for outreach efforts.
- Support the development of campaign messaging, materials, and performance tracking.
- Coordinate follow-up efforts after outreach, including scheduling meetings, sending follow-up emails, and maintaining CRM records.
Social Media & Content Creation
- Research, develop and execute engaging content for digital platforms, including blogs, newsletters, videos, social media posts, and website updates.
- Assist with planning and maintaining a content calendar to ensure consistent, timely posting.
Event Coordination & Support
- Help organize and execute virtual and in-person events, such as webinars, trade shows, and team gatherings, including logistics, on-site setup, and follow-up.
- Plan and coordinate internal team-building events, celebrations, and other activities.
Marketing Calendar & CRM Management
- Maintain the marketing calendar and track deadlines and project timelines.
- Update and manage CRM to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
Collateral Development
- Assist in creating and updating brochures, case studies, presentations, promotional videos, and other materials that align with marketing initiatives.
- Develop reusable templates for proposals, reports, and other communications to streamline processes.
Routine Website Updates
- Perform regular updates to website content using a CMS (e.g., WordPress, Wix), ensuring accuracy and consistency with brand standards.
- Update blogs, event information, promotional materials, and other web pages as needed.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize website functionality, layout, and user experience.
- Monitor website performance and identify opportunities for improvement in design or content.
Market Research
- Research industry trends, competitor strategies, target audiences, and relevant events or news to support marketing initiatives.
Administrative Support & Vendor Coordination
- Communicate and coordinate with vendors and partners for marketing materials, event logistics, and administrative needs.
- Provide general office support as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Canva, and familiarity with CRM platforms.
- Familiarity with simple website updates using a CMS (e.g., WordPress, Wix, etc.)
- Good understanding of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, etc.), email marketing tools, and digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
- Access to a vehicle.
- Basic video editing or design skills (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut) is considered a bonus.
- Familiarity with basic analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) is considered a bonus.
- Past sales and/or marketing work experience is considered a bonus.
Work Schedule
- Part-time (4 days per week, primarily in office).
