Area Of Responsibility
The Customer Experience student is responsible for enhancing the customer experience and promoting Brampton Transit services. This role involves coordinating and assisting with developing marketing plans and materials, supporting events, and managing Transit activities. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with a passion for customer service and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
Operation Support
- Assist with developing marketing and communication plans and projects.
- Contribute with developing and coordinate internal and external marketing materials, including advertising, web content, and publications.
Customer Service
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Liaise with external suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and deadlines.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams and management.
- Represent Transit at forums, events and outreach.
Communication and Reporting
- Develop project plans for targeted campaigns.
- Support internal and external media initiatives.
- Monitor, compile, and report on marketing and communications campaign metrics.
- Assist in implementing Brampton Transit's communication strategies.
Corporate Contribution
- Conduct Transit-specific research to gain insights into market trends.
- Track and report on industry trends.
- Provide recommendations regarding marketing strategy.
Teamwork and Cooperation
- Participate in project coordination and team meetings.
- Work collaboratively with staff to improve communication and design.
- Recommend improvements based on research and best practices.
- Demonstrate corporate values at all times.
- Participate in cross-functional teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Selection Criteria
EDUCATION:
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in marketing, communications, and event planning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Other Skills And Assets
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work variable hours.
- A valid non-probationary Ontario Class G driver's license in good standing
