We are seeking a dynamic and passionate social worker to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities
- Provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions for childhood anxiety and depression, emotion dysregulation, behavioural difficulties, developmental and adjustment concerns and family conflict. Provides interventions to enhance coping and reduce distress in referred population.
- Comfortable with providing individual, group and family therapy.
- Provide consultation and recommendations to families, and liaises with referring physicians, Boomerang Health clinicians, school staff and other relevant agencies.
- Follow an evidence-based approach to intervention.
- Manage a varied caseload and meet required timelines.
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records using the Electronic Medical Record system.
- Participate in on-going and emerging clinical projects as required.
- Part-time and full-time position available. Opportunity to work on weekends if interested.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work and are registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
- Course work and previous clinical experience in counselling pediatric populations.
Experience/Skills
- Knowledge of child and adolescent psychosocial development and psychopathology.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with members of a multidisciplinary team.
- Evidence-based practice.
- Utilizes critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to interact with children and adults.
- Efficient time management and organizational skills required.
- Ability to flexibly respond to continually changing program demands.
