Banquet Server - On Call/Casual

What You Will Be Doing
- Provide consistently professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests at all banquet events.
- Assist guests with beverage and food menu selections, offering knowledgeable and helpful recommendations.
- Serve food and beverages for assigned banquet meetings, adhering to service standards.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Maintain awareness of beverage lists and promotional offerings.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and outlet policies and procedures when handling food and beverages.
- Complete other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall guest experience.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Previous front-of-house customer service experience required.
- Valid Serving It Right certification is mandatory.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems is an asset.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Fluency in both official languages (English and French) is a key advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly responsible, reliable, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous while focusing on guest needs.
- A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overnights.
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods during shifts.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 30lbs regularly.
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders.
- Ability to carry multiple plates (three or more) at a time.
