Job Description
Sika Canada's sales team in Ontario is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented individual who is interested in pursuing a career in technical sales.
This position, offering you the opportunity to take up many challenges, to surpass yourself and to be part of a winning team, and will be to cover the
core GTA and surrounding area. In practical terms, you will have the responsibility to call on owners, specifiers and applicators to strengthen our flooring products’ market penetration and to increase our sales and opportunities.
In this role, you will need to
- Position Sika as a company that provides quality products and service.
- Working with a strong, experienced and tightly knit team in a true team environment
- Attain sales, pricing and discount objectives.
- Develop sales plans and strategies for architectural, owner and contractor markets.
- Conduct “lunch and learns” and other seminars or presentations for distributors, contractors and architects.
- Identify and follow-up on new market opportunities. Emphasize value-added sales.
- Support company and corporate personnel in achieving defined goals and objectives.
- Work with corporate marketing department to provide consistent message and product focus.
- Analyze competition and be prepared to defend our sales position.

Qualifications
- University or College degree in business, technical, or related field of study or pertinent experience.
- Have a minimum 5 years of experience in sales
- Bilingual (French & English) Not necessary, but considered BONUS!!
- Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaged customer relationships and effectively implement strategic concepts.
- Excellent time and territory management skills.
- Must be persuasive, sales driven, customer focused and a team player.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and smartphones.
- Must maintain a professional business appearance in accordance with Sika dress policy at all times.
- Career advancement may require domestic and/or global mobility.
- Must be a highly motivated, self starting individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Occasional overnight stays for business trips and company events.
Vehicle/ Driver’s License Requirements
- Company vehicle provided.
- Must have valid driver’s license and comply with Sika Fleet Safety Policy requirements.
- Technical Sales Representatives has responsibility for prudent care and protection of company assets.
