Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Sales Development Executive - Technical to join our
Toronto-based team. Reporting directly to the VP - Sales & Operations, this role requires someone with outside sales experience and technical training in fields like engineering, construction, equipment, or B2B sales. Prior experience with dealer/reseller network development is a plus, as well as marketing, social media, and product writing expertise.
Role Highlights
The ideal candidate will build strong, profitable customer relationships to generate
consistent order inquiries. This includes engaging potential clients within the GTA,
establishing a national dealer network, and actively recommending our products
through various outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and solicit new clients
- Prospect, qualify, and generate leads for LED signage sales
- Visit commercial/retail sites, new developments, institutions, and property management offices to build client connections
- Assess client needs and recommend appropriate signage solutions
- Develop and track sales inquiries, converting them into orders
- Negotiate and close deals to achieve or exceed sales targets
- Regularly visit sites to conduct checks, take measurements, and gather information for client proposals
- Collaborate with the marketing team on lead generation and brand visibility strategies
- Maintain high company visibility and provide market intelligence to VP - Sales & Operations
- Ensure consistent customer support post-sale and provide feedback for product improvements
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
Skills & Qualifications
- College/CEGEP or technical training, preferably in Engineering, Construction, Business, or a related field
- Proven sales experience with a self-starter attitude, strong motivation to meet objectives, and excellent communication skills
- Skilled in negotiations, with a track record of closing deals and building long-term relationships
- G License and clean driving record with access to a personal vehicle (fuel expenses reimbursed)
- Ability to interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Proficient with MS Office and Adobe Photoshop
- Signage manufacturing or construction industry experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
