The Technical Sales position is responsible for business development. They will benefit from a construction industry background, technical training in HVAC equipment, and great communication skills to have success in this position.
Outside Sales Rep – Mechanical
Education: Engineering degree or Diploma is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Day to day building and maintaining customer relationships
- Take the lead on securing and maintaining new customer relationships
- Collaborate with your team to ensure all relationships are utilized
- Provide feedback and recommendations on new products and services to ourcustomers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with mechanical contractors and engineers.
- Pro-actively participate in networking opportunities.
- Prepare and coordinate the preparation of full cost estimates on conceptual, design-build or general tender work.
- Prepare materials and equipment cost estimates.
- Sizing of HVAC Equipment, hydronic equipment, humidification equipment, light commercial and unitary products
- Responsible for the evaluation and bidding of tenders for new construction and design build projects
- Marketing, product promotion, participation, and execution of any project related documents to ensure that both existing and new potential customers are familiar with the innovative range of products that we offer
Requirements:
- You have past experience with HVAC mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret building specifications, blueprints and as-builds
- You are a self-motivated, personable individual who is eager to learn.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- A Minimum 3 years’ sales experience with a valid driver’s license
- You have the ability to demonstrate initiative and success in business development
- An excellent ability to manage business relationships and client interaction
