Position: Personal Support Person / Coach
Location: North Vancouver (just off Lonsdale)
Hours: Various shifts available – must be able to commit to a minimum of 2 shifts per week.
Shifts available are:
Mondays 8:30-3:00pm; 3:00-9:00pm
Tuesdays 3:00-9:00pm
Wednesdays 8:30-3:00pm
Thursdays 8:30-3:00pm; 3:00-9:00pm
Fridays 3:00-9:00pm
Saturdays 9:00-3:00pm
What does this position entail?
You will be supporting a 30year-old with autism in his home and community. This learner loves to go hiking, snowshoeing up at Grouse Mountain, ice skating and swimming. Some of the skills you’ll be supporting our learner will be in the following areas:
· Social skills development
· Physical activity & sports
· Games
· Academic support (reading, math, printing practice)
· Speech and language learning activities
· Cooking, cleaning and basic life-skills chores
All training will be provided. Pay will be commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
