Market Research Associate (Canada) – Business and Relationship Management - Toronto
Fitch Ratings is seeking a Market Research Associate (MRA) in our Business Relationship Management (BRM) team based in Toronto, Canada. This position will work closely with senior members of the team to help achieve the strategic goals of the group.

We’ll Count On You To
- Support the senior members of the Canada BRM team in managing and developing Fitch’s business relationships both internally and externally
- Conduct market research, market share analysis and develop competitive intelligence materials
- Responsible for research, development, and preparation of pitch books and other marketing materials under guidance from senior members of the team
- Responsible for maintaining and enhancing databases including in Salesforce and support the creation of new rating opportunities and fee contracts
- Participate in external meetings with investors, bankers and issuers
- A basic understanding of the debt capital markets and ratings business is helpful but not required
- Monitor fixed income market news, debt issuances, corporate refinancing and M&A activities and look out for Fitch rating opportunities.
- Maintain internal reports and internal databases with company/ target and contact information
What You Need To Have
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, Marketing or Economics
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience; New Grads and upcoming grads in Summer 2025 encouraged to apply
- Strong written and verbal communication skills along with analytical aptitude
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, experience using Salesforce is an added plus
- Individual must be self-sufficient with a high level of focus on work quality and attention to detail
- Team oriented, with an ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally
