We are looking for a dedicated, member service-oriented professional to join our Food & Beverage Team as a Bartender. This position is Full-time.
Expected start date: April 1, 2025 Hourly rate range: $18.00 to $22.00

THE POSITION: Under the supervision and direction of the Restaurant Manager, the Bartender will perform beverage service duties including preparing and serving drinks, providing exceptional member service, and take on other duties for the food and beverage department. To ensure an enjoyable experience for members and guests at Donalda Club, a Bartender is expected to be neatly groomed, friendly and well-mannered to represent the Club. The incumbent is expected to have strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and a strong knowledge of wine and spirits, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
AN OVERVIEW OF MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve guests a variety of different beverages including Wine, Spirits, Beer and other non-alcoholic drinks in a professional manner according to Donalda Club recipes and standards
- Perform various preparation duties including ensuring enough glassware are clean and stocked in the bar, cutting lemons and limes, ensuring there is ice at the bar and preparing snacks if required
- Perform duties to ensure the bar is clean at all times including the maintenance of cleanliness on the floor to prevent slippage
- Record sales accurately in P.O.S System, providing a completed and cross-referenced cheque summary at the end of each shift
- Assist manager with bar inventory monthly
- Continuously monitor dining and bar areas to ensure high quality of the overall dining experience
- Handles complaints from guests and members in a professional manner and informs manager on duty to resolve issue
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Completion of High School Education (Grade 12) is required
- Post-Secondary Education in Hospitality
- Minimum 2-3 years of bartending experience is required
- Must be 18 years of age or older to prepare or serve alcoholic beverages
- Wine and Cocktail knowledge is an asset
- Knowledge of P.O.S Systems (JONAS) is considered an asset
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Professional attitude and ability to work in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Private Club experience is an asset
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Smart-Serve certificate required
- Bartending Certification required
