Job Summary
Our growing law firm seeks a full-time Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support to our attorneys specializing in Real Estate, Family Law, and Litigation. This role demands a detail oriented and organized individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Key responsibilities include client communication, document preparation and management, financial assistance (invoicing and accounting), and case file maintenance.
Document Preparation and Filing:
· Assist in the preparation, service and filing of court documents.
· Draft correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents as directed by attorneys.
· Manage real estate closings from start to finish
· Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical files.
· Manage document flow and ensure timely delivery of documents.
Client Communication and Support:
· Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
· Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendars.
· Assist with client onboarding and ID verification.
· Maintain client relationships and build rapport.
Administrative Support:
· Manage billing and invoicing processes.
· Coordinate with external vendors and service providers.
· Assist with office administration tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree, or higher in a related field.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant (or similar role) in a law firm environment preferred.
Skills:
· Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Adobe, Gmail and legal software.
· Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
· Knowledge of real estate and family law and procedures preferred, but not mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
· PC Law, Soluno or similar legal accounting software preferred
· Court filing portal and Caselines
NOTE: This job is not for someone hoping to progress to the role of lawyer at our firm. We are looking for strong support staff to assist the lawyers at the firm.
