Sovereign Construction Management Limited is a fast-growing and experienced general contractor that acts on commercial, industrial, institutional and multi-residential projects.
Sovereign is a licenced Petroleum Contractor that has extensive experience constructing and servicing gas stations. Sovereign has its own in-house Site Servicing and Concrete Crews.
Sovereign is looking for an experienced Estimator to join its team.
Job responsibilities and required skills are set out below.
1) Monitor and review bid/RFP invitations and public and private bid/tender sites
2) Prepare and coordinate full detailed cost estimates and tender packages
3) Prepare takeoffs from project drawings
4) Maintain relationships with suppliers and trades
5) Conduct detailed analysis of contract documents
6) Continually improve estimating practices
7) Complete a detailed review of all project drawings, documents & specifications
8) Review, coordinate, organize and track submittals and shop drawings
9) Prepare tender process, tender documentation, assemble and summarize bids and track requests for information
10) Coordinate pricing with suppliers and trades
11) Prepare scope of work for trades and prepare contracts and purchase orders
Mandatory Skills:
a) Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Canada
b) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high stress and high-pressure situations in a professional, focused and composed manner while delivering optimal results
c) Driver’s Licence and vehicle to conduct site visits
d) Exceptional ability to read drawings and specifications
e) Ability to work independently
f) Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities
g) Attention to detail and great organizational skills
h) Ability to solve problems and communicate well
i) Ability to work in AutoCAD and other relevant softwares
