Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life of seniors, particularly those with disabilities or dementia. The Support Worker will work closely with clients to ensure their needs are met with dignity and respect.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health status.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support individuals with disabilities in achieving their personal goals and independence.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care, senior care, or caregiving is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is a plus.
- Experience in medication administration and knowledge of safety protocols in assisted living or nursing home settings is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.22-$27.48 per hour
