Maynard Nursing Home located in Toronto, Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a Volunteer and Student Services Coordinator - Part Time ( Contract)
to join their team.
Shift Details: 30 hours bi-weekly, 9 am to 5 PM

As our new Volunteer and Student Services Coordinator you will:
- Post-secondary education in a human services related field (Social Services, Recreation, Volunteer Services, Gerontology, etc.)
- Provide leadership for volunteer and student programs including recruitment, orientation (warm welcome), engagement, supervision, ongoing education, evaluation and recognition activities.
- Explore opportunities for on-going volunteer and student community building including to ensure volunteers and students feel connected to each other, the Village and the community at large.
- Act as a liaison (where applicable), between the Village leadership, and postsecondary partners for the Living Classroom to ensure successful integration into Village life in partnership with the People Team at Support Office.
- Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of service to our residents, visitors, and team members through comprehensive and effective support
It would be an asset if you have:
- Volunteer Management certificate
- Experience with volunteers and/or student placements preferably in a health care or social services setting
- Current Heart Save Level of CPR
