Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of support, including those with disabilities, the elderly, and those requiring specialized care. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through patient care and companionship.
Duties
- Provide patient care and support to individuals in assisted living or nursing home settings.
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility assistance.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe living space for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Assist clients with dementia care, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Engage in heavy lifting when necessary to aid clients in mobility or transfers.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or support roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with patient care techniques, including medication administration and meal preparation.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or elderly populations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 20 per week
