Analyst or Senior Analyst to join our Performance and Attribution Solutions Team (PAS). Our team focuses on delivering post-trade analytics to various stakeholders and collaborating directly with affiliates to enhance their investment processes through value-add analytics. What You Will Do
We create and provide analytics from various sources to measure the outcome of investment decisions. Our data provides insights for internal and external stakeholders, who receive our data through a variety of channels. The core analytic categories would include performance, attribution, risk, and portfolio characteristics. We have several tools and systems in place to aid us, but understanding investment strategies/mandates and post-trade analytics is key to ensure reporting is done accurately. The job will typically have a good balance between scheduled tasks, ad hoc requests/problem solving and continuous process improvement in both independent and collaborative settings. Our analysts are empowered to thrive as process owners with both the freedom and responsibility that comes with delegation. Key responsibilities include:
- Investment performance calculations, attribution analysis, holdings-based analytics and portfolio risk reporting across public asset classes.
- Support sales and marketing requests and provide data for RFPs and DDQs
- Research, propose, and maintain performance measurement and attribution methodologies for existing and new products.
- Develop and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide analytical problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Identify process improvements and leverage best practices across the team.
- Understand new products and ensure proper reporting is in place.

- Effective Communicator – Both verbal and written. Comfortable expressing ideas, explaining analytics/ methodologies and presenting to individuals and small groups.
- Collaborative – You have a collaborative spirit that helps you to work well with others and you communicate effectively.
- Self-Motivated – The ideal candidate has a passion for advancing the quality, scale and efficiency of data processes and is able to take ownership of multiple processes with keen attention to detail
- Continuous Process Improvement Mindset – You constantly take a critical eye to processes with the goal of finding improvement opportunities and bring an ability to manage multiple projects.
- Technology Savvy– You are able to pick up new Systems and tools quickly. You have advanced computer skills with an emphasis on MS Excel, Power Bi and have a desire to learn basic database query languages.
- Education – You have an Undergraduate degree in business, mathematics or a related field. You are also enrolled (or considering enrollment) in the CFA or CIPM program.
- Industry Knowledge – 1 to 5+ years’ experience in the investment management industry or comparable. Any direct experience with Investment analytics or performance measurement would be considered an asset.
