Food Supplies is a leading Canadian distributor of food ingredients and related supplies to the Grocery, Food Service, Education and Foodie markets. With offices in Etobicoke, ON and Langley, BC Food Supplies services customers in Canada from Coast to Coast to Coast.
The Customer Service Team works in-person in our Etobicoke, ON office. The CSRs play a key role in maintaining our customer relationships, managing customer interactions, entering orders, and working on projects with our outside sales team.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provides professional customer service, interacting with customers, coworkers, and their Account Manager.
- Effectively manages projects with key accounts to ensure flawless execution.
- Accurately enters / processes orders and communicates with internal Logistics Team and Procurement.
- Participates in the daily Operations meeting to ensure customers’ needs are met and to effectively manage customer expectations.
- Processes orders and credits and communicates with the internal Accounting Team.
- Learns the customers’ business needs by engaging them in conversation to discover unmet needs and provides solutions.
- Runs reports to effectively manage backorders and future orders in our system.
- Additional duties to support the ongoing growth of the Food Supplies business.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting and inventory practices, with strong attention to detail.
- 1 - 2 years of work experience in administration, order processing or customer service; experience in a food-related business is an asset.
- Competence with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP systems; Sage ERP is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to solve problems across work teams, and with customers in an empathetic, professional way.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
