Job Overview
The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing accounting and financial support to capital expenditures & purchase price variance. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing monthly KPI reporting, budgeting/forecasting, and financial analysis of capital projects. Support cross-functional sales teams on various projects in identifying areas for change while managing multiple demands and competing priorities.
What You Will Get To Do
- Manage ongoing capex budgeting/forecasting ensuring the organization is on target against budget, providing insight and actionable recommendations on any deviation.
- Review Capex plans analyze projects and provide internal rate of return, payback and NPV analyses.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial reporting or create reports that will assist the leadership team to achieve corporate financial goals more effectively.
- Coordinate and prepare monthly financial reports (capital expenditures, purchase price variance reports and KPIs) by consolidating imports from other business units.
- Identify and implement enhancements to controls, governance and processes.
- Perform other work-related duties as requested or required
Recipe For Success
- Completion of university degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field of study
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in an financial analyst role
- Completion or enrolled in CPA program
A Few Extra Ingredients
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), adapting message to suit stakeholder group.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced growth environment.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Pivots and Formula/Functions experience required
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of balance sheets, ledger entries, etc.
- Hands on experience applying knowledge of costing and accounting principles within a standard costing multi-plant environment
- Strategic mindset to create proactive strategies for the company
- Proficient in ERP systems, with experience with Navision/Visual a plus
- Proven initiative and willingness to drive change, with a focus on innovation, process improvement, and solving problems
- High degree of professionalism, ethics, and integrity
- Sound judgement and good analytical skills, as well as excellent research skills
