Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and stack products in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations and maintaining safety standards.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to transport goods within the facility.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves.
- Perform routine inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking the movement of materials.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management is a plus.
