Your Role
You as Logistics Specialist will be responsible for planning, preparing and processing operational tasks with high standards and consistency of accuracy and attention to details, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure carrier selection, routing, transit time, temperature requirements are managed. Applications are accepted from Toronto location as well.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure to provide solutions in case of any discrepancies, holds or delays in the movement of goods by communicating, negotiating with trucker, warehouses, suppliers and colleagues across Canada.
- You will manage high export volumes of road logistics products by ensuring neutrality and high operational quality across all Canadian branches
- Follow Operations policies, procedures, SOP and ensure compliance with transport regulations.
- Negotiating buying rate with airlines, truckers, other service providers for cost management and to maximize profit on shipment file level
- Ensure operating cost /buying rate is uploaded in the file in the operating system with accuracy and timeliness.
- Liaise with Operational Care Centre Supervisor/Manager for operational issues.
- Anticipate, Identity and Rectify any exceptions and take proactive actions to recover issue

Your Skills And Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or similar field
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role from Transportation Business Unit
- 2+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical/Manufacturing/Retail distribution center environment is preferred
- Knowledge of various production and quality systems (GxP, GMP, ISO standards) will be an asset
- Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel)
- CIFFA certification is an asset.

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and dental benefits, a retirement savings plan, and tuition reimbursement.
