We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Offset Press Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating offset printing presses and be committed to maintaining the highest production and quality standards. This position involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials.
This shift is Monday - Friday 1:30pm-10pm. For experienced operators, potentially 4 days a week, 10 hours a day.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Operate and maintain Heidelberg offset printing presses in a safe and efficient manner.
- Set up and adjust press settings, including ink levels, rollers, and paper feed systems, to achieve desired print quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on press equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor print runs for quality assurance, ensuring consistency and accuracy in color, registration, and alignment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve printing issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with prepress and production teams to ensure seamless workflow and meet tight deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, materials used, and press performance.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in printing technology from either a technical school or on the job training in a commercial printing environment.
- Proven experience as an Offset Press Operator in a commercial printing environment.
- Proficiency in printing four color process jobs is a must
- Strong understanding of color theory, print quality standards, and press maintenance.
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct printing defects.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
