Exceptional individual sought for an Apprentice Carpenter position on air/marine accessible North Coast BC projects.
This individual will be physically strong with general carpentry skills and experience in wood framing. Building envelope/cladding is also an asset.
This position will require an individual who:
-Is keen to work well in a First Nations Community and to fit in and work alongside Community Members in a unique cultural context
-Understands the importance of behaving well in a dry Community - absolutely no drugs or alcohol consumption in the Community will be tolerated
-Understands the importance of abiding by the Health and Safety policy
-Brings a positive attitude to work in all weather conditions
-Capable of handling flies/mosquitos
-Receives instruction and proceeds with tasks effectively alone or with a team
This individual must have strong interpersonal skills, and be capable of maintaining a respectful manner at all times. The position will be subject to an averaging agreement and will have a 3 weeks on/one week off rotation or similar. There is the potential to grow in this position for the right candidate in the future.
