Job Description
The successful candidates will be responsible for priming, cleaning and disinfecting the Hemodialysis machines, set up supplies, bedside charts/treatment records for the stations in order to provide the dialysis treatment of patients. Other responsibilities will be to transport patients to and from the Hemodialysis Unit from the Rehabilitation/Front Entrance of the Hospital via wheelchair, as well as porter patient prescription/physician order forms and medications between the unit and the Hospital Pharmacentre.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Be physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in hemodialysis as a renal assistant an asset.
- A positive work and attendance record is essential
