About the role
We’re looking for a Financial Analyst I to join our growing team!
What you’ll do here:
- Initiate and contribute to improving processes for reporting, budget review, performance analysis and various existing management reports.
- Initiate and contribute to designing and implementing new processes for portfolio monitoring and for measuring and comparing brokerages’ performance.
- Review and analyze financial statements and budgets prepared by brokers.
- Monitor and control the accuracy and completeness of data in internal systems processing.
- Performs daily and monthly reconciliation between various systems and databases.
- Act as a resource to coach and train BFS Managers.
- Coordinate and control the administration of a relational database and improve the active controls that are in place to safeguard data integrity. Participate in, and assume responsibility for special projects or mandates.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or any combination of equivalent education and experience’
- At least one of the following designations: CPA (CMA, CGA, CA)
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Solid skills in VBA, Excel and relational database
- Skills in data extraction / manipulation / synthesizing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Can multitask and handle multiple priorities with time-sensitive deadlines
- Customer focus
- Work management and time management skills
- Can work independently or on a team
- Can interact with people at all levels of the company, including senior management and external partners
- [Bilingual (French and English)] Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
