Community Income Tax Program Coordinator
Salary: $30.75 per hour
- Annual salary progression for all staff

This is a Temporary Part-Time position (22.5 hours per week) for a one (1) year period.

We are seeking a candidate to coordinate the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program and oversee the Tax Program volunteers as well as provide day to day support and direction as per the Volunteer Engagement Program.
- Coordinate the tax program, intake, appointments and tax preparation, maintain all data and relevant statistical information for reporting purposes.
- Liaise with Canada Revenue Agency ensuring our program meets regulations as per CRA standards.
- Schedule, train and supervise the work of the tax program volunteers.
- Complete up to date training and tax software installation through Canada Revenue Agenyc.
- Organize tax related documents, volunteer equipment from the current and previous year.
Tax Volunteer Supervision
- In consultation with the Programs Manager, schedule additional support for tax program from trained program staff, as needed.
- Welcome tax volunteers, oversee their activities, evaluate and support them as necessary.
- Oversee acknowledgement and appreciation activities for your volunteers with support from the Program Manager.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Income Tax Program and CRA rules, regulations, CRA certified software, UFILE & ability to process and understand E-file & paper filing procedures.

- 3 years' experience in a similar position
- Being a Canadian Citizen (2 year minimum) is a requirement in order to file taxes in Canada.
- Grade 12 or equivalent education and experience.
- Post Secondary degree in Accounting/Finance/Social Work or equivalent education and experience.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Overseeing volunteers and their activities.
Latitude:
The incumbent works fairly independently. If clarification is required, it is expected that the incumbent will request further direction from the Programs Manager.
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
Communication is maintained with all management staff and co-workers as work is assigned and completed, and information exchanged on an ongoing basis.
- Manager of programs: Seek input, or to exchange information about any changes in programs etc.
- CRA workers: Communicate when needed.
- Community members: Regular communication, to answer tax inquiries, tax related emails etc.

Wage Range: $30.75 - $35.29 (2025 rates based on union seniority)
