Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative Junior Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design and a keen eye for aesthetics, as well as excellent customer service skills. As a Junior Florist, you will be responsible for assisting the florist and in creating simple floral arrangements, assisting customers with their selections, and managing inventory. Your ability to communicate effectively and sell our products will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving sales.
Responsibilities
- Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions including weddings, funerals, and special events.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs.
- Manage inventory of flowers and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality at all times.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining cash register operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote a safe and efficient environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Engage in sales activities to promote floral products, upsell items, and drive overall sales performance.
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks as needed, providing support in garden-related projects.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year previous experience in floral design or related field is required
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English.
- Strong sales or cashiering is a plus, with a focus on cash handling accuracy.

Evening work hours are also available during peak season (Feb, May, Dec). Must be fully available during peak season (Lunar New Year, Valentine's week, Mother's day week, Christmas).
