Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive legal support to our organization, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while protecting the company's interests. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for drafting legal documents including Superior court applications and motions, negotiating contracts, and conducting thorough research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of corporate matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to safeguard the company's interests.
- Conduct thorough legal research using Lexis-Nexis and other resources to support business decisions.
- Prepare legal documents, including memoranda, briefs, and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist in the development of corporate policies and procedures.
- Represent the company in negotiations and discussions with external parties.
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments that may impact the organization.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in corporate law or a related field.
- Strong skills in legal drafting, negotiation, and writing.
- Proficient in conducting legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis.
- Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00-$70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 10 per week
