Job Details
Position Title: Coordinator, Field Placement
Status: Appendix D (Contract) - Until January 9, 2027
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Program/Department: Career & Placement Services - University of Guelph Humber
Campus/Location: The University of Guelph-Humber (207 Humber College Blvd, Toronto) is located within the traditional and treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit. This position will be on-campus with some options to work remotely.
Salary: FT Support Payband H: $36.29 - $42.13
About The Coordinator, Field Placement Role
Under the direction of the Manager, Career & Placement Services, the Field Placement Coordinator assists and prepares students for their placements through job search training, facilitates field placement workshops and sessions, is responsible for external marketing to employers, acts as the liaison with internal college departments and the business community, conducts ongoing labour market research assessments, and maintains the database of field placement partners and organizations. The Field Placement Coordinator is also responsible for the ongoing recruitment of new placement opportunities and for ensuring placement site information is current and site experiences match program and semester level expectations. The position is integral to the University of Guelph-Humber’s public image and commitment to supporting students in their transition out of university.

Education
The successful candidate will have a Master of Social Work (MSW).
Experience And Skills
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years in one or more of the following areas: Social Services, Counselling, Recruitment or Employment Services, including:
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and work with interruptions
- Demonstrated ability to deliver training to students, research new placement opportunities, and liaise between field partners and students
- Excellent record-keeping abilities\
