Responsibilities :
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial facilities, including machinery, control systems, and power distribution systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and components.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they escalate, ensuring continuous operation of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems using diagnostic equipment and testing instruments to identify faulty components and implement corrective actions.
- Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines while working with electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with other trades and departments to coordinate electrical installations and repairs, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment inspections, repairs, and replacements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge in industrial electrical systems.
Requirements :
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in industrial electrical maintenance (442A).
- Valid Electrician License (442A) issued by the Ontario College of Trades.
- Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and motor controls.
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in construction and maintenance electrician (309A).
- Valid Electrician License (309A) issued by the Ontario College of Trades.
- Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to use electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
