Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, skilled, and CERTIFIED Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our growing dental office. New graduates from an accredited program in Canada are welcome to apply. Our practice offers ample amounts of parking and is located on two major arteries in Richmond, BC.
This position requires a compassionate individual who is eager to support both the dental team and our patients in a friendly and professional environment.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Sterilize instruments and manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and care quality.
- Perform administrative tasks as required, including managing dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic.
Skills
Candidates should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in Dental Assisting practices, with experience in Pediatrics or Orthodontics being a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members.
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is beneficial but not mandatory.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
